2 Postdoctoral Positions /Gartner lab/ University of Dundee.

Following an award by the Welcome Trust, two postdoctoral positions are available in the Gartner lab to join our international team currently comprised of four Post Docs and three senior PhD students. We aim to continue our studies on the regulation of the primordial worm p53 family member Cep-1. We are looking for an experienced biochemist to perform protein purification procedures and for a geneticist ideally with prior experience in conventional and/or RNAi based genetic screening procedures using the worm or fruit fly systems.

Applicants for these posts should share our enthusiasm about science and should have a long term vision of wanting to build up their own independent research program. While prior knowledge of hard core biochemical approaches and C. elegans genetics would be advantageous for the respective jobs they are not essential. Funding is initially for three years.
