A Post-Doctoral Position: translational regulation during germline development

Postdoctoral fellow

A funded post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Min-Ho Lee at Department of Biological Sciences, University at Albany, SUNY. Our laboratory uses biochemical and molecular genetic approaches to study translational regulation during germline development in Caenorhabditis elegans. We are studying a germline translational regulator GLD-1 and its mRNA targets to understand how GLD-1 represses the translation of its mRNA targets and how GLD-1 specifically recognizes its mRNA targets (Genes Dev 15:2408; Genes Dev 18:1047; Cell 120:357). Highly motivated applicants are encouraged to apply. Experience in C. elegans biology and expertise in protein purification is desirable. Please send a brief letter describing research experience, CV, and contact information for 2-3 references to:
