A research assistant position in the lab of Rafal Ciosk in Basel, Switzerland

A research assistant position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Rafal Ciosk at the Friedrich Miescher Institute in Basel, Switzerland
(http://www.fmi.ch/ciosk.r). The position is initially for one year but can be extended. Successful candidates should have a strong background
in biochemistry and molecular biology. Previous experience with C. elegans is desired.

Responsibilities:
Carrying out research experiments
Developing new protocols and techniques in collaboration with FMI research facilities
Contributing to lab organization (purchase of consumables, management of stocks)

Profile:
Ability to pay attention to details and to follow complex protocols
Independent working attitude, high degree of flexibility, and a good team spirit
Willingness to work in a service-oriented and interdisciplinary environment
At least three years of laboratory training
Strong communication skills and fluency in English
