Assistant Professor of Biology

Lyon College invites applications for a tenure-track position in biology at the assistant professor level beginning August 2007. Ph.D. required. Responsibilities include teaching introductory level courses in biology and advanced courses in genetics and molecular biology. The development of a research program involving undergraduates is expected. Additional responsibilities include academic advising and college service. Lyon College is an independent, selective, residential liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and is included among the country’s best liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report. Located in the Ozark foothill community of Batesville, the picturesque campus is 90 miles north of Little Rock and 125 miles west of Memphis.
