Hi everybody,
does anyone of you know a good protocoll for axenic media, where the worms arn’t looking so poor? I would like to compare axenically grown C. e. with those on bacteria. You would help me a lot.
You may give Iqbal Hamza’s protocols a try

or contact Eric Clegg (who developed the original protocol) - eric.clegg@amedd.army.mil - as the web-link to his site is broken.
Thanks a lot, I will try that, sounds good!
The Daniel lab in Munich claims to have composed an axenic medium that they claim does not induce stress responses etc.
I heard this about three years ago and did not see it being published, but Hannelore Daniel is the leading nutritional scientist in Germany and maybe it is worth asking whether it is true.
Good luck
Ralf
