ER/Lysosomal Staining

Hello,

Does anyone know whether it’s possible to stain ER/Lysosome in live worms? Any links to references/reagents would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

James Priess’s group used Lysotracker (available from Invitrogen) to live label acidic compartments;

Then there’s ER-tracker (also from Invitrogen) which I’ve seen used in yeast and mammalian cells , Antonio asked about this in an earlier post but got no replies…perhaps email him and ask if he got anywhere with it?

or the conventional mCherry etc type of marker;

Thanks very much. From what I’ve gathered, it’s possible to do lysosomal, but not ER staining in whole, live worms. ER staining is only possible in live worms in muscle cells. Thank you for the references.
