I’ve been searching various and sundry catalogs both on the internet and off trying to find a suitable mouthpiece for a mouth pipet, and I haven’t found anything except old, dead pages that refer to companies that have long since gone out of business.
What I’m looking for is a simple piece of plastic that will fit into a stretch of rubber tubing, and has a hole to hold a capillary tube needle on the other. Any suggestions or reccomendations about where I should look?
I also thought you got one in each tube of micropipets. If you look at the VWR catalog, the Drummond brand micropipets’ listing specifically mentions that each tube includes one mouth pipetting device (pictured in the catalog listing); the VWR brand micropipets’ listing does not seem to make such a mention (they’re the brand we use, and I thought they also included one device per tube). Once you have a mouth pipetting device, you can re-use it for years and for thousands of micropipets.
