We’re currently looking into ordering a new liquid nitrogen dewar to keep our frozen strains. Our safety officer has asked us to go for a vapour phase dewar, while we currently only have some where the vials are stored in the actual liquid N2.
Does anybody know if there are any problems associated with long term storage of C. elegans strains in N2 vapour phase? In particular, does anybody use a Statebourne BioRack Series liquid nitrogen dewar who could share their experiences with it?
Any input would be much appreciated.
