neuronal and intestine specific plasmid in fire vector kit

Hi

Is anyone aware of a fire vector kit plasmid that is specific for driving neuronal and intestinal specific expression of a transgene?

Fire vector kit plasmid? Not that I’m aware of, no.

But there are a ton of published plasmids that you can ask investigators for. F25B3.3 promoter is expressed in most neurons (if you need something more specific just search the literature or WormBase). elt-2 promoter is active in the intestine.

If you need a strain expressing GFP only, you can get strains from the CGC: http://www.cgc.cbs.umn.edu/strain.php?id=10859 and http://www.cgc.cbs.umn.edu/strain.php?id=18283.

If you need the plasmid I believe Joe Culotti’s lab is the one to ask for F25B3.3 and Morris Maduro for elt-2.
