Post-Doctoral Position in Calgary

As part of the prestigious Eyes High Post Doctoral Fellowship program, a post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dave Hansen at the University of Calgary (http://www.ucalgary.ca/about/), with the position starting late 2015 or early 2016. This fellowship program provides guaranteed funding for two years ($50K CDN/ year), with the potential for alternate funding after two years. Dr. Hansen’s lab studies the control of stem cell self-renewal using the C. elegans germ line as a model (http://homepages.ucalgary.ca/~dhansen/), using genetic and biochemical techniques to identify and characterize the molecular mechanisms that regulate the balance that stem cells must achieve between self-renewal and differentiation.

Applicants with a PhD degree and previous experience in developmental biology/genetics, or a related field, can submit a curriculum vitae and the names of three references to Dave Hansen (dhansen@ucalgary.ca).
