Post-doctoral position in neuroendocrine networks at Scripps

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work in the area of genetic and behavioral control of neuroendocrine networks and energy balance. Broadly, we are interested in discovering the relative contributions of genetic, behavioral and environmental influences that lead to lipid homeostasis, using novel approaches. Newly-identified genes with previously-unknown roles in energy balance will be tested in mammalian models for therapeutic potential in treating diseases such as obesity and its related disorders. Our approach integrates several disciplines including molecular genetics, chemical biology, neuroscience, behavior and physiology.
