An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the Prahlad lab at the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
We study the role of serotonin in stress responses. The project will address how sensory perception of danger is coupled to the activation of stress-induced transcriptional programs (for details see publications: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18467592, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25557666 ).
A strong background in C. elegans or neurobiology is required.
