Postdoc position at the IECB , Bordeaux, France

A Postdoctoral Position is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Dupuy at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology / Institut Europeen de Chimie et Biologie (IECB). The institute was founded in 1998 in Bordeaux (France) and hosts diverse and international groups covering a wide range of scientific interests.

The Genome Regulation and Evolution group started in September 2007 supported by the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller and Inserm. We are focusing on the study of C. elegans gene regulation networks. To build dynamic models integrating expression information and the physical relationships between regulators and their targets it will be important to generate comprehensive datasets pertaining to a regulatory network of interest. In complement to traditional microscopy, we use a quantitative method to measure the activity of reporter genes in transgenic animals (Dupuy et al, Nature Biotechnology, 2007).

The successful candidate will be expected to possess or to be about to complete their PhD. and show relevant published research experience. Candidates with experience with C. elegans manipulation and/or interest in systems biology and bioinformatics will be preferred.

The position is available immediately and funding is in place to support the salary for three years.

Please send a motivation letter, a CV and letters of reference directly to Dr. Denis Dupuy.
