Postdoc Position in Antiviral RNAi in the Ding Lab, UC Riverside

A postdoctoral position is available immediately for collaborative research in the exciting field of antiviral silencing. This NIH-funded position offers a unique opportunity to work in the Ding and Maduro laboratories at University of California, Riverside. We are seeking a highly motivated person with a PhD and prior C. elegans experience, particularly in the area of cloning/gene identification and in making transgenic animals. Our collaborative effort is aimed at identifying and characterizing genes involved in RNAi-mediated resistance of C. elegans to viral infection, integrating methods in genetics, genomics, virology and model systems.

Our labs are located in the new state-of-the art Genomics Building at UC Riverside, where we have access to the core facilities of the UCR Institute for Integrative Genome Biology.

Interested applicants should send a cover letter that describes their prior experience and a CV, including contact information for at least three references, to Shou-Wei Ding (dingsw@ucr.edu) and Morris Maduro (mmaduro@ucr.edu).
