Postdoctoral Position, Ferkey Lab, University at Buffalo (SUNY)
A postdoc position is available in the Ferkey Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Research in our lab is directed towards understanding the regulatory mechanisms that control animal behavior. Using C. elegans sensory behavior (e.g. chemosensation) as a model, we study the regulation of G protein-coupled signal transduction pathways as well as the mechanisms by which the neurotransmitter dopamine modulates signaling and behavior. http://biology.buffalo.edu/Faculty/Ferkey/ferkey.html
Previous experience with C. elegans is not required, but a solid understanding of genetic principles and molecular biology is essential. There are no citizenship requirements.
