A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Alexander van der Bliek at UCLA. The lab uses C. elegans and mammalian cells as complementary systems to study the roles of dynamin-related proteins in mitochondrial fission and fusion. These processes are intimately connected with apoptosis and a host of neurodegenerative diseases. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in cell biology.
