Postdoctoral Positions are available at the Aging Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. The Institute is dedicated to uncovering the basic mechanisms underlying aging and translating those findings into patients.

Postdoctoral position(s) is available in the laboratory of Dr. Aditi U. Gurkar, characterizing how DNA damage reprograms metabolism and stress responses to drive aging and age-related diseases including cardiovascular disease and neurodegeneration.
In particular, the lab uses a dual model organism platform, using both C. elegans and mice to understand the basic mechanism(s) that impact aging www.agresearchlab.com.
The candidate will have an opportunity to work on C. elegans, mice and translate findings in patient oriented IPS cells.
