Postdoctoral Positions in the area of neurodegeneration and aging, subcellular compartments, neuronal cell biology and molecular movement/transport.
We announce postdoctoral positions to work on the biology of neuronal elimination of protein aggregates and damaged mitochondria (multiple project options) and the outside cellular responses to this remarkable process (see Nature 542:367-371). Work in a dynamic research environment at Rutgers University on a team that features two PIs (Monica Driscoll and Barth Grant). Experience in C. elegans culture and genetics, molecular biology, imaging a plus, but not essential. If you enjoy working on exciting biology in a strong C. elegans community, are a good communicator and team player, and thrive being part of a supportive, interactive and enthusiastic environment, our groups would be a great place to train in aging and neurodegeneration. Send CV and three letters of recommendation to Monica Driscoll (driscoll@biology.rutgers.edu) and Barth Grant (grant@dls.rutgers.edu). Starting dates negotiable, but could be soon.
