Is there any specific sequence analysis tool to determine the promoter region, specially if the two genes are very close to each other?. ???
For example, I am interested in a region where two genes are opposite to each other and their initiation codons (in opposite directions) are separated by around 200bp. So, if I want to select the promoter region for each gene (to study their expresison), shall I restrict to only 200bp region or I can go still upstream for each of the gene?.
