somatic gonad specific promoter

Hi there,

I am interested in using a somatic gonad specific gonad for driving transgene expression. Does anyone know a good one besides lag-2. Thanks,

There’s got to be a bunch, but one I know offhand is lim-7 for gonadal sheath cells (from this paper)

The fos-1 promoter is good! It’s on in all the Z1/Z4 daughters except the DTCs I think. Look in Sherwood et al. 2005 (Cell) for a description of the different regulatory elements. There are probably others too of course.
