Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology (Non-tenure Track), John Carroll University

The Department of Biology at John Carroll University seeks a cell/molecular biologist for a one-year teaching position as Visiting Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) to start August 2020, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Candidates should have a Ph.D. (ABD is acceptable). Depending upon expertise, the successful applicant will teach courses among the following list: Principles of Biology 1 and Principles of Biology 2 (for prospective biology and chemistry majors), and Genetics, Introduction to Cell Biology, Introduction to Biotechnology Laboratory, and other courses depending upon availability (for biology majors). Teaching load is ~12 credit hours/semester. We desire a candidate who will embrace the department’s emphasis on evolution, the environment, and ethics in science.
