I was trained as a molecular geneticist studying the mechanisms that maintain genome stability during the replication of damaged DNA templates. I then used experimental evolution combined with molecular, cellular, and quantitative approaches to study the mechanisms and dynamics of genome evolution. My lab at the GIMM studies the interplay between genome maintenance mechanisms and evolutionary forces in shaping cell biology.
