A full-time Research Assistant/Technologist position

A full-time Research Assistant/Technologist position is available
immediately for a highly motivated individual to work on a
collaborative project investigating gene regulatory pathways guiding
lipid homeostasis in the model organism C. elegans. These studies
will facilitate an improved understanding of conserved mechanisms
underpinning obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease in humans.

Responsibilities will include assisting with ongoing C. elegans
experiments and performing cutting edge techniques such as RNAi,
qRT-PCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), and robotic high
throughput screens, as well as various DNA and protein-based assays.
The candidate is expected to be able to work independently, as well
as in a team setting, and be able to multi-task and work in an
efficient and organized manner. There will be opportunities for
co-authorship on publications.

Qualified applicants will have a B.A. or B.S. in biological or
biochemical sciences, relevant lab experience and a strong desire to
learn. Training will be available for advanced techniques.

We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
