Are there any essential neurons in C. elegans?

Dear wormers

Can anyone let me know which (if any) neurons are essential for C. elegans survival under lab conditions?
I wonder whether any laser ablation experiment of specific neurons results in killing of the animal

Thanks a lot
Cheers

The M4 neuron is required for pharyngeal pumping, feeding, and therefore development.
Ablation of the CAN cells causes a withered tail (Wit) phenotype.

Those are the ones that occur to me off the top of my head. I’m not an expert, and there may well be others.
