C37C3.8 has a conserved non-canonical initiation codon (probably!)

C37C3.8 probably has a conserved non-canonical initiation codon.

The first exon of orthologs of the CDS C37C3.8c has an ORF with a conserved a coding sequence.
It is highly likely that the initiation starts with the first Isoleucine residue.

This gene has now been curated so that there is an isoform which uses this region as the first exon and starts with the Isoleucine.

Would anyone like to do some work to confirm this assumption?
