Hi
Has anyone done or is aware of papers that report tissue specific requirements of daf-7 pathway in longevity? I mean where does daf-7 mutation act to control aging? for example,for the daf-2 pathway, it is quite well known that daf-2 loss in neurons plays a major role in lifespan extension. I was wondering if similar experiments have been done for daf-7?
Thanks
Hi,
whilst sipping on my Latte and munching on my Croissant (yes I’m eating breakfast) I looked through my notebook (it’s a working breakfast).
I was under the impression that DAF-7 tissue-specific effects were a consequence of its actions in neurones (watch out, here comes a huge link…);
Another interesting paper perhaps, is one out of the Murphy stable showing that daf-7 mutants seem to have uncoupled reproductive and somatic aging, extending the former much more than the latter;
