The fungal genetics community is reuniting, all in person, at the 32nd Fungal Genetics Conference, and you won’t want to miss it!
Submit your abstract for the opportunity to present your work and get a discount on your registration fee by registering early. Abstract submission and early registration close on December 5, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. EST. This meeting typically sells out so don’t delay.
The Fungal Genetics Conference is the premier meeting for the international community of fungal geneticists. The conference features cutting-edge research spanning a diverse array of topics, including comparative and functional genomics, gene regulation, cell biology, biochemistry and metabolism, population and evolutionary genetics, host-pathogen interactions, genetics education, and more.
In addition to the Perkins/Metzenberg Lecture, the 2024 meeting will feature attendee-organized workshops, and the ability to network and connect with other fungal geneticists. Preview the schedule, abstract submission topics, and registration details, on the website.
International Attendees
If you’re an international attendee, check if you need a visa to enter the country. The U.S. Department of State has a tool you can use to verify whether you require a visa for entry. Given current visa processing delays, we advise that you start the application process as soon as possible, including making an appointment at your relevant embassy or consulate.

Letter of Invitation
If you need a visa to travel to the US, you may need an invitation letter. The letter is available in your abstract submission portal if you submitted an abstract. If you did not submit an abstract but have registered for the conference please send your complete mailing address to fungal24@genetics-gsa.org and a letter will be emailed to you.
