Drug assay ..

Can anyone please tell that specifically which neurons are affected by the drug like levamisole ?

Thanks.

Levamisole is a cholinergic agonist and is generally thought to act upon the so-called levamisole-sensitive nAChR complex in muscle, composed of UNC-38, UNC-63, and UNC-29. In essence, the muscle becomes hypercontracted because of continued excitation.

I’m not sure if anyone has ruled out an affect on neurons, however, as these nAChR subunits are also expressed in several VNC motor neurons. You can check the old papers and here for more details.
