I am helping an AP Biology teacher in the Fresno (CA) Unified School District set up a C. elegans mating lab for her class. She wants to set up a cross between wt males and dpy-11 hermaphrodites. She has everything needed to do the experiments, but is unsure of her ability to distinguish between dpys, wt and wt males on a plate. Since I’m on the east coast, I can’t help her in person (as much as I’d like to). Is there anyone in the Fresno area who would be willing to spend an hour or so helping her learn to recognize the different phenotypes? Thank you!
