GEGA (Gallus Enriched Gene Annotation) tool includes GO annotations

The GEGA paper is out! GEGA (Gallus Enriched Gene Annotation) is a user-friendly online tool that allows access to gene models, expression data and associated functional annotations for the chicken genome. In a new NAR Genomics and Bioinformatics publication, Degalez et al. offer a fantastic overview of their free, public tool GEGA. Along with providing GO annotations, GEGA combines NCBI-RefSeq, EMBL-EBI Ensembl/GENCODE, FR-AgENCODE/FarmENCODE, and other data to offer 170 pieces of information for each gene.

Chickens are important in many ways: not only are they an incredibly valuable vertebrate model for development, evolution, and disease, but chickens are also a vital livestock species.
