Hi all
I am looking for website for downloading GeneFider, which is a software to use in Wormbase to predict gene structures.
All the article describing GeneFinder said that this software is unpublished.
One aritcle published in 2004 described website, but not available anymore but the url said that GenFinder is related to Washington University (see ref14)

I visited and found softberry is providing gene finding algorithm, which may be a successor of GenFinder but it is not free even for academic use.

Does anyone know a gene structure finding algorithm, which is free.
Hopefully, algorithm has already used in C. elegans research is preferred.

I believe GeneFinder (which used to be fairly easy to find and install, but now that seems harder to do) was largely superceded by Augustus quite a while ago. It’s possible people have moved on to still other tools.
