glp-1 and lin-12 RNAi

Hi everyone,

Quick question: Has anyone ever used glp-1 or lin-12 RNAi on N2 worms? If so, what phenotype(s) did you observe?

Quick answer: try using WormBase. Enter the gene name in the search field, select ‘Phenotypes’ from the ‘Page Content’ menu, then search ‘RNAi’ in the Phenotype field.

The Ahringer feeding RNAi clone of lin-12 is quite weak. We did get a modest effect in sensitized backgrounds, but much less than one would like.
