GO can add to your phosphoproteomics research. In a new publication in The EMBO Journal, Celebic et al. look at the phosphoproteome landscape at the exit of mitosis and the exit from meiosis in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (budding yeast) with some unexpected results.
When Celebic et al. needed to examine whether partial resetting of phosphorylation events acts as a traffic light to allow some processes to proceed while stopping others, they turned to GO analysis.
