GO and lead stress in maize

Although many of us are aware of concerns with direct effects of lead on humans- water contamination, peeling house paint, and children’s toys commonly make headlines- lead also can have a detrimental effect on our food crops. In a new BMC Plant Biology article by Han et al., GO enrichment and metabolome analysis were used to identify a metabolic pathway that has a role in the response to lead stress.
