It really matters what you are trying to do and the specific hypoxic O2 concentrations you want to maintain. If you want to generate anaerobic conditions, you can use BioBags Type A (as in Padilla et al., 2002, 302: 1038). Otherwise, for specific non-aerobic hypoxia we construct continuous-flow atmospheres using pre-mixed compressed gas (as in Nystul and Roth, 2004, PNAS 101:9133). Hope this helps.
