Looking for a monoclonal antibody that detects mCherry in fixed embryos

Before investing in several monoclonals I wanted to see if anyone has had prior success with anti-mCh monoclonals and freeze/crack & fixed worm embryos. We have traditionally used a rabbit polyclonal from Clontech (Living Colors anti-dsRed, #632496), but now I need to do colocalization with another rabbit antibody and would prefer the mCh antibody to have been raised in a different species rather than use the ‘trick’ to make one rabbit antibody appear as if it’s from a different species. We previously tried the Living Colors anti-dsRed monoclonal without success. Now I see Clontech has an mCherry specific monoclonal, as do several other companies. Just wanted to see what others have had success with before buying a few and trying them.

Thanks
Steve

It turns out someone in my lab purchased the Clontech monoclonal anti-mCherry antibody (#632543) but had not yet tested it. I am happy to report that it works very well. I tried it at a 1:100 dilution but could probably go lower.
