Looking for the promoter sequence of the Seam Cells Marker

Hello Worm Community,

I am looking to express a transgene specifically in seam cells starting from the embryonic comma stage. Most papers reference a promoter called Seam Cell Marker (SCMp), but I haven’t been able to find its sequence.

Does anyone have the sequence or primers that can be used to amplify this fragment?

I looked at the worm-base data a few days ago, but the sequence was not there. I guess the site was updated.

Hi Amir,

We used a minimal version of the SCM promoter (small enhancer+pes-10 minimal promoter) in our Ashley et al paper on the AID system. Send me an email and I can send you the sequence of that promoter. We’d be happy to share a plasmid aliquot as well.
