Marquette Univ. Assistant Professor-Biology/Cellular Physiology (tenure track)

The Marquette University Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the area of cellular physiology (http://www.marquette.edu/biology/). Research interests could involve developmental, epithelial, muscle, neural or other disciplines in cell physiology that complement the department’s research areas of emphasis . We encourage applications from individuals who are using model organisms (C. elegans, D. melanogaster, D. rerio, etc.). Applicant must have a Ph.D. and relevant postdoctoral experience.

Teaching responsibilities to include teaching a 3 credit undergraduate course and a graduate course or seminar in alternate years. The applicant is also expected to participate in the research training of our undergraduate and graduate students by mentoring students in independent study courses, lab rotations, and thesis research. The successful candidate is to establish an innovative, externally funded research program using contemporary cellular/molecular approaches.
