Nematode analysis and quantification in soil samples.

Hello all in the forum, I am feeling a little out of place so bear with me.
I am a technology scout working for a Open Innovation company called IdeaConnection; currently we have a client that is looking for a method of field testing for nematodes to allow for better pest management. The request list 6 or 7 methods of detection and quantification and is targeting 7 species of nematodes. Within these methods I have reached out to various researchers and biologists, I am posting here to see if anyone has developed software to identify nematodes from Highres images or any other method of micro photography? I have an idea that I feel could change the way field testing is done and I need some help in starting the project. I intend on make 3d models of the 7 species of nematodes at various stages of life cycle and then analysing images with those models, I know that matlab has the ability to make the 3d comparison as well as other software systems. I would like to discuss the field methods of Nematode analysis and quantification in soil samples.
