Hello everyone!
I am planning on starting neuronal isolation using FACS, and based on numerous protocols (Murphy, Miller, CenGen etc), I am assembling my own protocol. But I have a big doubt.
Some of the protocols suggest the use of L15 media (supplemented with 2%FBS), but other protocols also mention that the 2%FBS can be added to PBS for the same usage.
I was wondering what is the difference? which one is better? for what I have been reading L15 seems to have more components rather than only the salts as PBS. Has anyone tried and seen any difference?
Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!
