Basel, Switzerland

Exciting research project on the interface of signaling pathways, stress response and longevity in C. elegans is available for a postdoc with experience in worm biology. The study will focus on elucidating stress response pathways that affect C. elegans physiology, and consequently its lifespan, and will be carried out at the Friedrich Miescher Institute in Basel.

Candidates should have expertise in genetics and molecular biology. The research involves a collaboration with the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, allowing the postdoctoral fellow insight into biomedical application. The study is co-supervised by Joy Alcedo and Susan Gasser and will involve state-of-the-art research facilities.

Interested individuals should send their CV, a brief cover letter describing research experience and 2 references to human.resources@fmi.ch or by post to Human Resources, Friedrich Miescher Institute, Maulbeerstrasse 66, 4058 Basel, Switzerland.
