A post-doctoral position is open in Dr. Decressac’s lab at the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM). We strongly encourage energetic, enthusiastic, passionate students and fellows to apply to our lab.
We are looking for talented young neurobiologist to join our group that focuses on the development of novel models and therapeutic strategies for Parkinson’s disease.
The candidate will be involved in various projects (to be discussed during the interview) and will have the opportunity to discover or re-inforce several techniques. The candidate will use standard molecular and cellular approaches as well as cutting-edge techniques such as high-content screening, live cell imaging, super-resolution microscopy, and the use of viral vectors and Crispr-Cas9.
The candidate will perform translational research projects that will involve the use of neuronal cell lines, primary neurons, C.elegans, mice and patient material.
The candidate is expected to have a PhD in neuroscience (preferably, if not, motivation to change field is requested) with excellent skills in cell culture and good knowledge in neurodegenerative diseases. Expertise in cloning, molecular biology would be a plus.
