We are looking to hire a postdoc to build a CRISPRa toolkit to identify new aging mechanisms in C. elegans. We want to build the toolkit, test different dCas9 and dCas12 based activators and inhibitors, test different ways of delivering guide RNAs, figure out the best promoter regions to target and the best ways to deliver the guides, and use the approach to find genes that extend lifespan when overexpressed. Though C. elegans experience is not essential, this is a great opportunity for someone skilled with worms who loves building tools the whole community can use.
