A post‐doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Eleanor Maine in the Department of Biology at Syracuse University to study chromatin regulation during cellular differentiation. Research in the Maine laboratory focuses on the genetic and molecular mechanisms regulating cell proliferation and differentiation, using the C. elegans germ line as a model system. Funding is available through a grant from the NIH. Strong verbal and written skills in English are required, but prior experience with C. elegans is not necessary. Applicants with a doctoral degree specializing in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or related fields are invited to apply. We are seeking highly motivated applicants who are able to work both independently and in a group. Interested applicants should email emmaine@syr.edu with a statement of research interests, a CV, and contact information for three references. Position start date is flexible.
