Postdoc and Lab Technician Positions in Brangwynne lab, Princeton University

We are actively recruiting for several positions in our lab, which uses biophysical approaches to understanding the assembly and properties RNA/protein granules and their role in growth and development.

The laboratory technician position would include lab management responsibilities, C.elegans strain construction and maintenance, as well as the possibility for the pursuit of independent research projects. Candidates for the laboratory technician position should have at least a B.S. in a bio-related discipline, as well as experience in C.elegans biology, including cloning and construction of transgenic lines. Experience in RNA biology, protein purification, microscopy, and biophysical approaches would also be helpful. A demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team is essential.

Postdoctoral positions are also available for several projects including studies on the role of RNA helicases in development, and the role of rRNA biogenesis in developmental cell and tissue growth. Qualified candidates will be highly motivated, with a strong background in biology, biophysics, or other quantitative bio-related areas. Experience with techniques of molecular biology, cloning, protein purification, instrumentation/device design, light microscopy, and quantitative image analysis would be useful, as would prior training in C.elegans research.

These positions are available immediately. Interested candidates should send their CV and statement of research interests to Cliff Brangwynne (cbrangwy@princeton.edu)
