Postdoc in the Biology of Aging

A postdoctoral position is available in the Ghazi Lab at the Rangos Research Center, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine to study the genetics of aging
in C. elegans. The lab employs genetics, molecular biology, microscopy and genomics to identify and study genes that influence lifespan. We are
particularly interested in genes that operate at the intersection of reproduction and aging.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has an interest in the biology of aging and is capable of independent design and implementation of
experiments. An aptitude for learning new techniques and tackling challenging problems is highly desirable. The position requires training in molecular biology
and genetics. Background in model organism research will be greatly valued, but is not essential. The selected applicant will study genes and proteins involved
in a network that operates between the reproductive tissues and the intestine to regulate aging.
