The Soto lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher for studies of the mechanisms of cell polarization during cell migrations in C. elegans. This position is supported by grants from the National Institutes for Health. Highly motivated individuals with a passion for cell biology and developmental genetics of embryonic development are encouraged to apply. The laboratory uses genetics, cell biology and live imaging to investigate how the cytoskeleton is polarized during key events in development, including embryonic morphogenesis.
The laboratory is part of the vibrant community of nine C. elegans labs of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Rutgers University on a shared campus. We are located in central New Jersey, close to New York City and Philadelphia.
Rutgers also has a vibrant community of postdocs, including the postdoctoral Fellows funded by the INSPIRE Program (INSPIRE - An NIH-IRACDA Grant Program) a highly selective program for postdocs interested in combining training in research, with mentored training in how to teach science effectively, thus engaging underrepresented students in STEM careers. Postdocs accepted to the Soto Lab are eligible to apply to the INSPIRE Program.
To apply: send a C.V., the names and contact information for three references, and a brief description of what research you wish to pursue, to: sotomc@rutgers.edu
