Postdoc position available; cell fate specification in early embryo

NIH-funded post-doctoral position available in the laboratory of Rueyling Lin, Department of Molecular Biology, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Lab research centers on signaling pathways in cell fate specification in the early C. elegans embryo, the transition from maternal to zygotic control of development, and germline development. We employ genetic, cell and molecular biological, biochemical and live embryo imaging approaches in our studies: www4.utsouthwestern.edu/RueylingLinLab/research.html

UT Southwestern Medical Center ranks among the top US research institutions by any metric (see Science Watch, Sept. 2010), and was recently picked as one of the best places in the US to work as a postdoc (The Scientist, Mar. 2009). The Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex offers affordable living in a dynamic and cosmopolitan urban environment.

Candidates with an interest in mechanisms of developmental regulation and a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or genetics are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with C. elegans is not required, but is a plus. Send cv along with names, email addresses and phone numbers of references to Scott Robertson (email address: scott.robertson@utsouthwestern.edu).
