Postdoc Positions at Rutgers University, NJ

Two postdoctoral positions are available to study developmental neuroplasticity in the Barr lab at Rutgers University.

Research in our lab has focused on the development and function of sensory cilia in C. elegans. Our recent studies indicate that a subset of sensory neurons have the potential to undergo dramatic dendritic branching depending on environmental and developmental signals. One goal of this project will be to study the molecular mechanisms underlying this neuronal remodeling.

Requirements include a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences and strong publication record. Prior experience with C. elegans is advantageous but not required. While the positions are NIH-funded, candidates are expected to apply for independent funding.

Please send a letter stating your research interests, CV, and contact information for three references to Maureen Barr.
