A postdoctoral position is available in Fumio Motegi’s group in Temasek Lifesciences Laboratory in Singapore. Our group is interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying cell polarization and asymmetric cell divisions using the C. elegans zygote as a model system. Current work focuses on the mechanics of 1) initiation of cell polarization and 2) spatial patterning of cellular asymmetry, which will delve into the basic principles of how a developing embryo commits to somatic or germline cell fates.
Our group is seeking a highly-motivated postdoctoral candidate in the field of cell and developmental biology. The candidates will also have an opportunity to work with advanced imaging-and-analysis technologies at the Mechanobiology Institute of National University of Singapore. More information can be found at: Motegi Fumio, Ph.D, Senior Principal Investigator | TLL Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory
Candidates for the position must have completed their Ph.D. in biology or related field and have at least one first-author paper in English in an international peer-reviewed journal before starting the position. The successful candidate is expected to be motivated, able to work independently, interact well with a diverse lab group, and have excellent communication skills. Salary and benefits are commensurable to educational qualifications and working experience of the candidates.
Please send your full application including 1) a cover letter, 2) CV, and 3) the name and address of three references to: fmotegi@tll.org.sg
